Bunnies! Bunnies! It Must Be BUNNIES!!!

Or maybe children.

Don’t think that I wasn’t singing that most awesome song from Buffy the Musical into the wee hours of the morning on Sunday and into the night last night.  And finally the bunnies are done!

A Happy Hoppy Bunny!!
A pink bunny tail. Oh so cute! (I admit bias.)

The fabric is a nice white velour.  It was easy to work with and didn’t roll or stretch as much as I though it would.  The tail and lining of the ears is a rosette swirled pink fur that I could not resist.

The ears! They stand up! Look!

The ears took  a sheet of interfacing, about 4 pipe cleaners and some very serious clam-shelling open to work.  And I hope they make it through the play.   I think if the bunnies don’t bounce around too, too much they will be fine.  Don’t think I won’t be praying to several different gods that those ears stay up.  I’m just happy they aren’t flopped down in front of his face.  And as you can see, he is pretty happy about the ears.

I am ecstatic about being done.  In time. On schedule.  AND DONE.

The play is this Saturday and I am so excited to see the kids have a good time.  Because in the end I really did this for them.  Because it would make them happy.  Being available to do this is one of the reasons I decided to be a stay-at-home-parent.  And look at that face!  That’s the best reward.
